welcome to the emergent “neoliberal” agenda..
last nights debate ushered in this new permutation
in US politics..one which i will dub..
(using a title coined by Christopher Hyatt, MD)
“the revolution of lowered expectations”

upon further reflection
the debate last night was a “passing of the torch”..
the larger than life..vital challenger..JFK
taking over from the wearied and hunching little GWB
BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE
the game IS THE SAME.

CORPORATE DOMINANCE
WAR WITHOUT END
PATRIOTISM

it is simply “UNAMERICAN” to admit error
one can obliquely hint at mistakes
(i.e. JFK’s the war was a mistake)
but not reverse positions
(i.e. JFK’s WE will win the peace)

WELCOME TO NEOLIBERALISM: the “new” optimism
“the gelding of the left”
“the final betrayal”

..or simply…
